Developers of the highly anticipated E Condos at Yonge and Eglinton have responded to the challenge of fitting the north tower at the project into an envelop determined by the City of Toronto's planning rules. The north tower will rise in a long, narrow portion of the lot, and setback rules were forcing Bazis, Metropia, and RioCan to re-think their plans for a cantilevered swimming pool to match the one in the project's south tower.

If at first you don't succeed, try and try again, and that's exactly what architect Rosario Varacalli did by presenting a unique set of new rooftop amenities. Two plunge pools, a fireside lounge and a spectacular rooftop view of the city are the new proposals for the 38-storey north tower. Perfect for social gatherings or just some quiet, relaxing alone time, the rooftop lounge is a tantalizing feature of the super-slim building, giving future residents even more to look forward to.

Beyond the exciting plans for the rooftop, E Condos will also host a whole slew of other amenities such as a designer-inspired party lounge, a yoga studio and a landscaped outdoor terrace closer to ground level atop the complex's podium. The development will also add some serious green to street level at Yonge and Eglinton by adding more trees to the street and a green roof over the subway entrance, for a more lush and urban-meets-outdoorsy vibe.

Residents here will also enjoy quick, climate controlled access to shopping, offices, and city-wide transportation via the not just Eglinton station on the Yonge subway line, but also via the upcoming Crosstown LRT line. As the Yonge and Eglinton area experiences rapid revitalization, Bazis' E Condo's are another exciting chapter in Midtown Toronto's story. UrbanToronto will be back with updates as development of these intriguing condos progresses.
